Dub artists iGL & Alecho reached out to Stone Lion some months ago now about doing a remix of our collaboration ‘Heating Up’. They’ve since delivered an excellent, dubby remix of the track as well as a straight dub that is equally awesome.
Hailing from Athens, Greece, iGL & Alecho started their musical journey together in 2016. Since then, they have been producing rich soundscapes full of reverb and echo. They are influenced by music from all over the globe, which shines through in their tracks. More than anything, they delicately balance technical precision and unbridled artistry in their musical expressions.
The duo has a number of original dub reggae productions as well, including their ‘Revolution’ EP released by Dubophonic Records. We will be following up the release of their remix of ‘Heating Up’ with a full EP including the riddim and dub.
I’m excited to have made an artistic connection to these guys, and look forward to our next collaboration. The love of reggae music truly knows no borders!
